Program Coordinator
Built from our 100+ year innovation legacy, the Watson Foundation has over 55 years experience working with diverse higher-education partners, and global partners to expand the vision and develop the potential of our next generation leaders. Our flagship Watson Fellowship programs work with 53 colleges and universities to select and support fellows on a global scale to expand their personal, professional and cultural frontiers. Our Watson Futures program is a research and development incubator for education innovation, supporting new leadership programs and projects.
Watson’s programs, partnerships, and fellow communities are the heart of this work, and careful coordination ensures they thrive. The Program Coordinator will play a central role in planning and supporting fellowships, events, and communications that connect students, advisors, alumni, and institutional partners. The ideal candidate is collaborative and organized, with strong communication and planning skills, eager to grow and support an international, mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities
Program Support
Support the planning and execution of key programmatic events, including Kickoff, Selection, Announcements, Ides, and Conference(s)
Manage, track, and support fellows
Support and onboard partners (campus advisors)
Track partners (presidents, advisors) to ensure up-to-date data on email lists, website, and database
Support the alumni community with Ides of Watson planning locally, nationally, internationally
Plan and execute pre-departure webinars (coordinating with fellows, sending reminders)
Brainstorm ideas with Assoc Director for improvements of the program and events
Fellow Support
Manage and track fellow status — at home and abroad — and monitor travel conditions including US Department of State travel advisories.
Manage and track travel intake forms and fellow paperwork required to begin travel
Provide personalized fellow reference letters for individual needs
Organize and prepare fellow welcome packets
Liaise with Crisis 24, as required, to provide fellows with up to date information on their countries
Communications Support
Manage Internal and External Stakeholder Support - ensure fellows, advisors, partners, applicants, potential applicants, and other queries receive timely and detailed support
Support fellow, campus advisor, guest interviewer communications via email list creation, email copy drafting, and fielding responses
Assist with TJ application opening and promotion: support updating, composing, and sending emails updating website, researching fellows, editing TJ project abstracts and titles, editing press releases, managing social content, and updating fellow data
Assist with rollout and closing of TJ application portal, verification, quality control, reminders, and testing
Manage social platforms (e.g. Facebook, Linked In), and Wikipedia page
Assist with TJW inbox management
Assist with informational and fellow webinars
Procure supplies and program materials for the Foundation and its programs
Additional operations roles as required

Experience
1+ years of experience working in higher education administration
- 1+ years of experience working with CRM, CMS and related operations systems
Salesforce administration experience preferred
1+ years of experience working with diverse stakeholders including students, institutional partners and service providers
Working Conditions
This is a New York City metropolitan area-based position.
Occasional evening and weekend work required (e.g. monitoring support inquiries).
Occasional travel to college campuses, internship partners, and program-related events.
Hybrid, in-person, and remote working conditions

Compensation
$55,000-$65,000 a year plus health, retirement, and professional development.
