Daughter of Women: Chronicling Our Survival
Spain, Dominican Republic, Peru, Argentina, Canada.
For my Watson year, I will be transformed by listening to women’s stories of survival. I will explore in depth how women in different social, political, economic, and social contexts ensure their survival each and every day by letting their voices guide my journey as I live alongside with them. I hope to learn what are their survival strategies for overcoming hardship, I want to witness how constant survival is mobilized as a source of strength, and I want to capture how the act of surviving is intrinsically hopeful and embedded with possibility.
