If you know Rwanda, it is most likely that the first thing you learned about it was the Rwandan genocide. I was born in the jungles of the Congo in 1996. As I grew up, to process the past, I engaged in making art and serving my community. When my body or mind wandered to extremes, art and my community grounded me. During the Watson year I will examine how diverse communities create and cope with the past to build their futures.
