Music is a powerful tool for reimagining justice and resisting punishment. By engaging in inner-carceral music programming and immersing myself in global musical cultures, I will seek to understand how music’s ability to cultivate joy and forge connections can improve the lives of those currently incarcerated, and contribute to reconceptualizing justice.
