Gendered Fisheries: Implications for Sea and Society
Tanzania, South Korea, Chile, Spain
Working alongside fisherwomen, I will explore how fishing shapes women’s roles in their communities, their personal identities, and their relationships to the sea. I hope to highlight not only the gendered challenges these women face, but also the ways they are adapting to environmental changes, building kinship, and working towards justice and self-determination.
