My Watson project focuses on the language learning process, especially how pronunciation promotes agency and acceptance within communities. In diverse contexts -- from immigration to orthodox Sanskrit chant to classical Indian vocal performance -- I will learn how particular ways of vocalizing creates self-expression and acceptance.
