Plants As An Element of Cultural Identity
Tanzania, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Colombia
Plants define the essence of a region and the people who inhabit it. Aware of this strong connection through the local customs and folk traditions of my own country, Nicaragua, I will engage with ethnobotanists, healers and botanical centers to understand how specific plants form national identities in Tanzania, Egypt, India, Indonesia, and Colombia.
