How does comedy intersect with hardship? Shadowing improv troupes in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Vienna, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Cape Town I will collect oral histories from members of the comedy community and use my findings to inform my own work at the intersection of humor and misfortune.
