Since the Cold War radiation has been sensationalized in the media, causing society's perception of radiation and nuclear energy to be based in fiction, not fact. To bridge this gap between radiation science and societal perception, I will explore, through both research and photography, how radiation impacts the world: how it helps us, how it harms us, and how we might move forward with radiation playing an integral role.
